What is Cat6e cabling & how can my business benefit?

Cat6 cabling is an advanced form of data cabling and is better adapted to coping with Gigabit ethernet offering a more robust solution than Cat5e cabling, supporting connections up to 10 Gbps and frequencies of up to 250 MHz.

The cables themselves are more tightly wound, with 2 or more twists per centimetre and feature thicker sheaths to shield from crosstalk both near-end (NEXT) and alien (AXT). Cat6 cabling as also better recommended for PoE (Power over Ethernet) connections as its cables are more resistant to heat resulting in less data degradation.
